This Privacy Policy explains how Digiscrypt Technologies (“Digiscrypt”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit the SCRYPTIC hackathon website and register to participate.

  • Registration details — your name, email address, team name, team members, and chosen track.
  • Account information — a dashboard login (email and a password you set) for each registered member.
  • Payment status — confirmation of your registration payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
  • Submission content — the ideas, links (such as code repository and demo video URLs), and materials you submit during the hackathon.
  • Technical data — basic session cookies required to keep you signed in to your dashboard.

3. How we use your information

  • To register your team and give each member dashboard access.
  • To process your registration payment through our payment provider.
  • To communicate with you about the hackathon — schedule, rulebook, results, and certificates.
  • To administer judging, prizes, internships, and work opportunities.
  • To operate, improve, and secure the platform.

4. Payments

Registration payments are handled by a third-party payment gateway. Your payment information is provided directly to that provider and is governed by their privacy policy. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded — never your full payment credentials.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: our payment provider (to process payments), trusted service providers who help us run the event (such as email delivery), and authorities where disclosure is required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to run the hackathon, issue certificates, and meet legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored in hashed form and never in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@digiscrypt.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Eligibility

SCRYPTIC is intended for participants in India. If you are a minor, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to register and participate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
