These Terms & Conditions govern your registration and participation in SCRYPTIC, a national online hackathon organised by Digiscrypt Technologies (“Digiscrypt”, “we”, “us”). By registering, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
SCRYPTIC is open to participants in India. Teams may have between 1 and 4 members. Each participant must provide accurate registration details. Minors must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
2. Registration & fees
- A registration fee of ₹149 per member applies. A team of four pays ₹596 in total.
- Payment is collected through our third-party payment gateway at the time of registration.
- Your registration is confirmed only after payment is successfully received.
3. Refund & cancellation policy
All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once a payment is completed, it cannot be refunded, cancelled, or transferred to another person or event, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
If money is deducted but your registration is not confirmed due to a technical or payment-gateway error, contact us at support@digiscrypt.com and we will verify the transaction and resolve it.
4. Code of conduct
Participants must act with integrity and respect. Plagiarism, harassment, cheating, or any attempt to compromise the fairness or security of the event may result in disqualification.
5. Submissions & intellectual property
You and your team retain ownership of the work you create. By participating, you grant Digiscrypt a non-exclusive right to review your submission for judging and to showcase your project, with credit, for promotional purposes. You confirm that your submission does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
6. Prizes, internships & opportunities
- The prize pool, internships, and work opportunities are awarded at the organiser’s discretion based on the published judging criteria.
- Prizes may be subject to applicable taxes and statutory deductions (including TDS) under Indian law; winners are responsible for any such taxes.
- Internship and work opportunities are subject to a separate selection process and their own offer terms.
7. Schedule & changes
We may update the schedule, problem statements, rules, or these terms where reasonably necessary. Material changes will be communicated through your dashboard or by email.
8. Disqualification
We may disqualify any participant or team that violates these terms or the code of conduct. As stated above, registration fees remain non-refundable in such cases.
9. Limitation of liability
The event is provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digiscrypt is not liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from your participation, and our total liability is limited to the registration fee you paid.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Karnataka, India.
